Party!!!

Our Mom deserted us to go to business conference so we are having a house trashing party. If anyone wants to look out the front windows, we have bird TV tuned in (including hummingbirds). THoE is best played up & down the stairs and there are plenty of places to nap around too. We are laying out the noms now so everyone is welcome.

Human Health Update

We haven't fallen off face of earth! Mom is just horrible with posting (she spends too much time working & on facebook). Anyway... some of you may have noticed based on Mom's FB posts that the humans around here are having health issues. Mom had first part of 3 part dental surgery in December (she has next scheduled for June). Our Granddaddy who lives with us has been diagnosed with slow growing cancer so he is undergoing treatments. Some of you may remember that Mia & Ghost nursed our Grandmother when she was fighting cancer (none of us remember her as we came after she lost that fight). We would appreciate any spare purrs you can generate for Granddaddy! Mom keeps up with everyone better on facebook so we don't know how much we will post but we do miss everyone & try to check everyone's blogs as regularly as we can! Jade, Myst, Blackie & Cocoa

Floofy Friday with Jade

Hello everyone... I am Jade and as you can tell from one of my first pictures here I'm a floofy Calico. I'm head cat here at Bamacats because I have seniority over all cats (and that dog) that are here now. As head cat, I have to make sure to take care of Mom - I've played nurse kitty when she was sick and I check on her at night making sure she is okay (she isn't always appreciative of my late night checks if I wake her). Mom's sister is coming this weekend. She gave me one of my nicknames so I'd like to know if any of you have any that you are willing to share. Mine is Princess Pretty Paws which I think is quite fitting as I should be recognized as a Princess. PURRSSSSSSSSSSSS........... Jade

Wordy White Cat Wednesday with Myst

HI!!! I'm Myst and welcome to wordy, white cat Wednesday. Mom said I needed to admit that I am not all white. I have orange stripes on my tail as well as light orange on my face and ears. Mom thinks that I have some Meezer in my family tree cause I have crossed blue eyes and my orange kind of shows up like a flame point. Anyways... I like PLAYING, looking out windows, talking to birds and bug chasing. I love to annoy... I mean play with Blackie. I don't bother Jade too much (she scares me). Would anyone like to come join my while I bird watch? Mom said the weather in Alabama has been wonderful with sunny skies & highs only in 70s or 80s so we should see a lot of birds! Blackie wants to thank everyone for the comments on his ManCat Monday post. We can't believe Mom is actually posting two times in one week. She has promised Jade & Cocoa will have their say too so hopefully you will see more from us on a more regular basis. PURRSSSSSSSSSS.......................... Myst

Mancat Monday with Blackie

Hello... Blackie here for Mancat Monday! Since we don't blog nearly enough, I should introduce myself. I am a handsome (Mom said so) fluffy black cat with very green eyes. I wandered up here and decided this was my house. I work hard to protect my peoples and keep the dog (Cocoa) in line. I love my peoples and the other cats here even if Myst gets on my nerves sometimes - the dog I only tolerate. Hopefully, Mom will start helping us blog on more regular basis. If anyone knows how we can make her let me know. Thanks... Blackie :)

Mom's Day (and Granddaddy too)

Hi! Happy Mother's Day! I'd like to tell story about my cat mom. She was a stray that my human mom was feeding and she had 3 kittens, two fluffy ginger cats & ME! To try not to confuse anyone, when I say mom I referring to my human one & will say cat mom otherwise. Mom & a friend came down to take care of feeding strays one day and they saw that my cat mom had given birth s they started looking for kittens. They caught glimpses of two of them but then cat mom brought her over to a bush & showed her something underneath it. Can you guess what was under bush? It was ME!!! Mom picked me up & I was very scared but she took me home where Jade hissed at me. She decided that I was perfect mix of Ghost & Mia so they must have sent me to her. And that how my cat mom found me my forever home (and Jade still hisses at me). We aren't really celebrating Mother's Day so much today. Today is my Granddaddy's birthday! It is a big number for him (with zero on end) so his surprise party is this afternoon (shhh.... don' tell). Purrs ~ Myst
